A paddle attached to the lever is suspended in the fluid media. once the fluid starts flowing, the lever with paddle deflects and thus triggers a contact in the micro switch. This micro switch is isolated from the fluid with help of a flexible metallic bellow. This is a low cost alternative to transducers.
